SJ is passionate about helping people to improve their health and wellbeing using yoga and other alternative therapies.
After being diagnosed with ME/CFS in 2004, at her worst she spent several months confined to a bed. Through alternative therapies such as; yoga, meditation, CBT, hypnotherapy and mindfulness, SJ has learned to manage her condition over the years.
SJ left her role in Project Management in September 2019 to follow her dream of becoming a yoga teacher to help others with health issues. She believes yoga is her medicine.
SJ has over 15 years yoga experience, is a Yoga Alliance 200 hour qualified hatha yoga teacher and 30 hour qualified yin yoga teacher. She is also qualified in meditation and yoga nidra. As well as being an England Athletic qualified running coach SJ is also a qualified level 2 Usui Reiki practitioner and is currently studying for her Hypnotherapy Practitioners qualification.
She has an avid interest in mindfulness and nature therapy and believes that listening to the sound of the ocean is one of the most soothing forms of relaxation.
